Seamless Data Warehouse - Download free seamless USGS imagery, elevation, and land cover data. Includes NED 30m (10m and 3m where available), NLCD land cover, high-resolution orthoimagery of urban areas, and more. Data extracted at user-specified boundaries.

Geodata.gov - Portal for the Geospatial One-Stop (GOS) government initiative. Access geospatial information from all levels of government and the public sector through one comprehensive portal. A marketplace for sharing and accessing data and other information resources.

Free Digital Topographic Map Quadrangles - (Click on Map Locator) Download free USGS topographic map quadrangles in GeoPDF format through the USGS Store. Files average 10-17 MB. Also download the next generation “US Topo” maps. As of December 2010, US Topo maps are available for one third of the U.S.; additional maps are being added regularly.

Free USGS Satellite Data and Air Photography - The entire Landsat satellite archive including newly acquired Landsat 7 ETM+ SLC-off and Landsat 5 TM images; and NAPP, NHAP, and AHAP air photography are now available for free download. Download an entire scene containing all bands and metadata in a single zipped file. Some high-resolution scans are avail for a fee.

Terra Look - Users create their own collections of georeferenced JPEG satellite images that allow for visual interpretation and comparison without the need for complicated software. All downloads are free.

Center for LIDAR Info. Coord. & Knowledge (CLICK) - (LIDAR point cloud downloads only. No processing or bare earth filtering has been performed). Data is delivered in USGS quarter-quad tiles in either LAS binary or ASCII text format. Data coverage is very limited. (For more extensive LIDAR bare earth elevation data, go to http://seamless.usgs.gov).

National Geologic Map Database - Find maps and map-related publications by searching on location. Includes geology, hazards, earth resources, geophysics, geochemistry, paleontology, and marine geology.

Mineral Resources On-Line Spatial Data - A source for regional and global geology, geochemistry, geophysics, and mineral resource maps and data.

USGS Energy Resources Program Data - Data from oil and gas assessments in the U.S. and selected international locations. Some sites include GIS layers for geology, bathymetry, gravity anomalies, and more.

Maps of America’s Submerged Lands - A portal to published USGS maps, reports, and digital data that depict the bathymetry, surficial geology, and/or subsurface structure of selected submerged U.S. areas. For all other U.S. locations, NOAA is the best source for bathymetry.

Coastal & Marine Interactive Map Server - GIS data and metadata for past and current projects.

Significant Topographic Changes in the United States - A national inventory of significant topographic changes based on seamless multitemporal elevation data and land cover data.

USGS Natural Hazards Support System (NHSS) - Monitor and analyze natural hazards events as they are occurring anywhere on the earth. Dynamic links connect to additional information. Viewer resolution is on a national and global scale.
