Arizona State WP Carey School Realty Studies: Realty Studies serves as a focal point for research and educational projects of faculty members, both in real estate and in allied disciplines throughout Arizona.   Lincoln Institute Land Policy A resource for policy makers and practitioners, the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy addresses issues involving the use, regulation, and taxation of land.   RE Center@Wharton Zell & Laurie Center The Zell/Lurie Center actively promotes & funds cutting-edge scholarly research on topics of vital to the real estate industry. Research conducted by the Real Estate Department's standing and affiliated faculty, is augmented by the addition of Zell/Lurie Post-doctoral Researchers and Research Specialists. Findings are published in the Center's own Wharton Real Estate Review, in leading academic real estate journals, and in the Center's Working Paper Series.   Univ of Connecticut Center for Real Estate The Center for Real Estate and Urban Economic Studies is a research entity created in 1965 to focus attention on real estate issues. Columbia University GSAPP School Graduate school of Architecture, Planning and Preservation: Bull Center for Arch Research and Urban Technical Assistance Program   MIT Center for Real Estate The MIT Center for Real Estate sponsors research by its faculty in numerous areas of real estate including the economics of property markets, the impacts of regulation, and the sources of equity and debt financing.   Texas A&M Center for Real Estate The Center is the nation's largest publicly funded organization devoted to real estate research. The Center's staff conducts research on financial, socioeconomic, public policy, trade, legal, land use and local market analysis issues related to real estate.   Univ of Florida Bergstrom Center UF's Bergstrom Center for Real Estate Studies seeks to support both cutting edge academic research and applied research that addresses issues of concern to real estate practitioners in Florida and throughout the U.S.   USC Lusk Center for RE The Lusk Center produces relevant and timely real estate research, supports educational programs for students and executives, and convenes professional forums that bring together academics, students, business executives, and community leaders.

Georgia State Mack School of Business The RE Research Center provides studies for local firms & trade organizations on selected topics.    Univ of Montana @Billings The Center for Applied Economic Research provides real estate research services through partnership agreements, collaborative studies, and customized contracts.   UCLA Ziman Center Richard S. Ziman Center for Real Estate at UCLA, through its various activities and programs employs a multi-disciplinary and global approach to addressing the most critical real estate challenges facing our society today and in the future.   Univ of Maryland Students and faculty at the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation collaborate to generate new research and publications. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate's goals are to serve as a link between real estate faculty and students, alumni, the real estate professional community, governmental agencies, and the general public. The faculty at the school publishes papers and hosts conferences.

Harvard University The Joint Center analyzes the dynamic relationships between housing markets and economic, demographic, and social trends, providing leaders in government, business, and the non-profit sector with the knowledge needed to develop effective policies and strategies.   New York University Furman Center The Furman Center for Real Estate and Urban Policy conducts research on public policy aspects of land use, real estate development and housing.   Univ of Alabama ACRE The Alabama Center for Real Estate conducts research and publishes housing, affordability, construction, and economic reports. It also hosts an annual conference and serves the real estate department at the school.   Washington State WCRER The WCRER was created in 1989 and its goal is to provide a wide range of useful and understandable information, analysis and knowledge using academic methods in practical context while reporting findings in common language.

Indiana University Benecki Center The Benecki Center for Real Estate Studies was established in 1985 to support a variety of research and educational activies in the field of real estate at Indiana University. Under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey Fisher, the center has undertaken many projects and continues to provide support for a number of eduational programs.   Penn State Smeal Institute for RE The Institute for Real Estate Studies is the focal point for Penn State’s “Research with Impact” in the real estate industry. The Institute sponsors leading-edge scholarship on a wide variety of topics related to the real estate industry.  Research findings are published in the top real estate, finance, and economic journals as well as in the Institute’s Working Paper Series.    UC Berkely-Hass Fisher Center for RE The Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics (FCREUE) is one of the major university centers in the United States for research on real estate markets, energy efficiency, financial institutions, the California Economy, and other urban and regional economy topics. The Center supports an in-house research program, research by faculty associates, and dissertation research by doctoral students.   Wichita State-Barton Center for Real Estate The center provides data and housing & economic reports focused on the Kansas MSA area.

We screened almost 50 real estate academic research centers and were selective in choosing which ones to list above. Some 'research centers' do not conduct any research at all while the sole purpose of some is to play a supporting role for any students interested in conducting research by providing access to resources. This page only lists research departments that either actively conduct and publish research on real estate related topics or those that have made their past research available online.
